Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Botomaze Academy ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use botomazeacademy.com. We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws.

Information we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, mobile number, profile photo and time zone.
  • Learning activity: courses you buy or join, live-class attendance and duration, recordings watched, lessons completed, test answers and scores, certificates, and notes you upload for review.
  • Tutor details: education, certificates, payout details (bank account or UPI) needed to pay you.
  • Payments: handled by our payment partner Razorpay. We receive the payment status and reference, but we never see or store your full card, UPI PIN or net-banking details.
  • Technical data: device, browser, approximate location from your time zone, pages visited and referring links, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

  • To create and secure your account, including one-time login codes by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
  • To deliver courses: schedule and run live classes (on Zoom or Google Meet), provide recordings, tests and certificates.
  • To process payments, invoices, refunds and tutor payouts.
  • To send class reminders, receipts and important service messages, and—only with your consent—marketing messages and push notifications, which you can switch off at any time.
  • To improve the website, prevent fraud and comply with the law.

AI features

Some features, such as feedback on uploaded notes, course-content help and the support chatbot, send the relevant text or images to AI service providers to produce a response. We send only what is needed for that feature, and providers may not use it to train their models under our agreements with them.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us run Botomaze—such as hosting, Razorpay (payments), Zoom/Google (live classes), email, SMS and WhatsApp providers and AI providers—and with your tutor for the courses you take. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data when required by law.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but some features may stop working.

Retention and security

We keep your data while your account is active and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls to protect it.

Your rights

You can access, correct or update your data from your dashboard, and ask us to delete your account or withdraw consent by writing to vikas@lavanyatech.com. We will respond within a reasonable time as required by law.
